HANGING ROCKS PLANTATION
GUIDED TURKEY HUNTS

A LITTLE HISTORY ABOUT OUR TURKEYS
Years ago, there were no turkeys on HRP and in our area..  We brought in several pairs for several years and did not shoot them for years.  Today, you can see turkeys all over the community. Our flock has become larger and larger and today we have several flocks of 40 to 70 turkeys.  We began offering guided hunts some 4 years ago and have been very successful with the kill on these hunts.
Noah Jenkins, age 10,  continues to take a turkey each year since he was 7 yrs. old.  Noah was guided by his father, Robert.
Kevin Ward of Appling, Georgia was the winner of this nice bird in April this year.Congrats, Kevin!
Chris Rouland, of Atlanta, shows off a fine turkey he bagged on April 10th.  Chris named his hunt "Jenkins County Gobbler's last gobble".  He had the bird on the ground by 8:30 a.m. His first turkey hunt.  Robert was his guide and stated that Chris was quite excited.
Baptist Preacher, David, from Texas nailed a fine gobbler on April 11th.  He is displaying his kill under one of the hanging rocks for which HRP is named.
